 “Super little hotel”

Very clean. Excellent service. Beautifully appointed room with The White Company toiletries. Large en suite. Good lighting and electrical sockets, which is quite rare in a U.K. Hotel. Lovely breakfast with good choice. Quiet location, about 10 minutes walk to town. Good easy parking.

“Fantastic Hotel”

This is a superb hotel with lovely staff.
Stayed for 2 nights. The room was huge as was the bed. Lovely décor, and fantastic grilled breakfast. Staff were so helpful. Lovely and quiet overnight, excellent shower and even bathrobes. Staff give you a parking permit for your stay as no car park. Great location for the conference centre and about a 15 minute walk to the main shops.
Would highly recommend.

“Faultless ”

Friendly, helpful and efficient staff, lovely room, delicious breakfast. Spotless throughout with lots of thoughtful extra touches. I really couldn’t fault the place and I’m pretty fussy! Top quality accommodation.

November in Harrogate

The start of November has definitely brought winter with it this year. As the temperature drops, fortunately, Harrogate has maintained its charm. Spoilt for choice, Harrogate offers spectacular scenery both inside our small town and out. In the heart of Yorkshire, we are only a stones throw away from the Yorkshire Dales and all the beauty that it beholds. As well as an abundance of restaurants, shops and cafes Harrogate never fails to disappoint rain or shine. At The Grafton we offer affordable and luxurious accommodation, with one of the best breakfasts in Harrogate. We take pride in our great facilities and friendly service, making The Grafton the most desirable and comfortable place for your stay this November.

Guest Feedback

Here are a few comments from guest who have stayed with us over the past month.

 “Perfect”

We stayed at the Grafton for three nights for a short break. We had a double room and we were really impressed by the high standard of the B&B.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were absolutely spotless, nicely decorated and furnished and tidied daily. The showers were powerful and hot! The choice and quality of the breakfast was impressive. The neighbourhood where the B&B is situated is very quiet and just a 10 minute walk to Harrogate centre. There was plenty of on road parking and, when we checked in, we were presented with a parking ticket to display in the windscreen. We had a lovely three night stay at The Grafton and would definitely return if we revisited Harrogate. Highly recommended!

“Brilliant”

Wonderful B&B, fantastic bed, tasty breakfast with loads of choice. Can’t fault this place. Wonderful staff who were attentive and polite. Great location in walking distance from Harrogate. Loads of restaurants close by and close to the theatre.

“Excellent standard throughout”

Very comfortable rooms, excellent facilities and breakfast was a real treat. Couldn’t fault the accommodation. The staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Parking is a little tight but you get a parking permit so that you can park on the road outside.

“Very pleasant stay”

Lovely Guest house just over half a mile from the centre. Quiet area, hotel and room. Very good breakfast with large selection all made to order. Parking on the street is free with a parking permit from the hotel. Bottled water is included in you room with a good selection of coffee, teas and hot chocolate. I would happily stay there again.

“An excellent B&B !”

We have just returned from a couple of nights stay here and were totally bowled over with the quality of the B&B. The room was spotless and food lovely. It certainly deserves 5☆ as is genuinely friendly, welcoming, clean and with helpful staff and manager. We recommend staying here for all your visits to Harrogate due to all the above and as is only a 5-10 minute walk to the city centre or 2 min drive. We are definitely staying again if bookings allow!

“Cracking B&B”

Had 2 nights here mid week and full marks to The Grafton; puts a lot of hotels to shame. Very clean, beautifully decorated and good location. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice and high quality.

September in Harrogate

Our lead up to autumn has fortunately been both a warm and bright one. As summer is officially coming to an end we hope September continues ease us into the winter months. At The Grafton we offer affordable and luxurious accommodation, with one of the best breakfasts in Harrogate. We also take pride in our great facilities and friendly service, making The Grafton the most desirable place to be this September.

 Guest Feedback

“Real quality & Great value place to stay in Harrogate”

The Grafton is a really excellent place to stay, providing very comfortable, beautifully presented accommodation, kept to a very high standard. Very good breakfast with a lot of choice. Great location, about 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Complementary parking. The next time we stay in Harrogate, the Grafton will be our first choice.

“Very comfortable.”

We read very good reviews of this hotel and booked for two nights. We were delighted that we had done, as we had a very satisfying stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was modern with a good shower and lovely fluffy towels. I liked the little complimentary bottles of shampoo etc. The breakfast was delicious, all freshly cooked and a very good choice from the cooked items to the fresh fruit and homemade muesli. The coffee was excellent, often a little test of mine of a good hotel. We enjoyed our stay and will return when we’re in Harrogate again. I recommend this hotel, it’s quiet, friendly, in a good position, comfortable and has free parking in the street.

“Beautiful”

Stayed this weekend. Excellent reception staff, very helpful. Stayed in room 12, large king size bed, beautifully decorated. Bathroom with shower. No bath unfortunately but they’ve made the most of the space. Little design flaw with the shower as it leaked, but quite a good shower head. Good breakfast menu. Had the full English, was cooked perfectly. Great spot if you want to walk into town. Parking was however free outside if you take the car. Overall I’d highly recommend it!

Here are a few comments from guests who have stayed with us recently.

“Mr and Mrs Young”

We stayed for two evening whilst attending a family party. Very pleasant environment. Decorated to a high standard. Standard of cleanliness high. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. Facilities in room exactly what was needed. Quiet room, good nights sleep. Great value. Would not hesitate to stay again.

“An amazing breakfast and a very comfortable hotel”

I stayed here in order to participate in the Harrogate Crime Writers’ Festival. It was a short 10 minute walk to the centre in a quiet residential road. I enjoyed two peaceful nights’ sleep and the wonderful breakfast kept me going all day. Truly a feast! Make sure you enjoy the house speciality date and walnut bread.

“Fantastic B&B”

Stayed here for a recent weekend away. Very comfortable room, lovely breakfast, central location and the staff couldn’t do enough for you, very friendly and accommodating, would definitely recommend if you’re are staying in Harrogate.

“All a hotel needs to be!”

On a quiet side street 5 minutes from the town centre. Very friendly staff on reception. I booked on line, no payment required on booking and no instant demand for the fee until the time of departure. I booked a large superior double and the room was very spacious and had a lovely en suite and a super king bed, the room was very clean and well furnished. The hotel was very quiet and the first time we saw the other guests was at breakfast, which has everything from fruit, breads, pastries and cereals to a full cooked breakfast, which was very good. On top of all this was on street parking on the doorstep and the hotel provide the Harrogate council day parking tickets so it costs the guests nothing. Well worth looking at if you want a hotel in Harrogate.

 “Great eye for detail”

This is a Boutique Hotel, small but perfectly formed. They have gone out of their way to make the whole place just right, even down to the choice of complimentary biscuits, a cut above. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need, spotlessly clean too. Breakfast is a delight- as a vegetarian – terrific and served with a lovely warm smile, what more could anyone ask. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the centre with loads of great eateries etc. Can’t recommend highly enough.

“Fantastic little gem”

My husband and I chose to stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary, what an excellent choice, check in was fast and we were given a parking permit, parking was not a problem, we were right outside the front door on the road.
We stayed in room 12 a superior double, the room included bath robes, slippers, iron and iron board, hospitality tray with bottled water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits & toiletries in the bathroom. The room was immaculate, with a great eye for detail, the bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in.
The breakfast was to a very high standard, a choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, Danish pastries & date & walnut cake followed by a lovely cooked breakfast consisting of a full english, beans on toast with poached eggs, scrambled eggs etc, tea, coffee, apple juice, orange juice & iced water. The lady that served us breakfast had such a lovely manner and was very pleasant.
We chose to stay in a superior double because it has a walk in shower rather than a shower over a bath, the bathroom was beautiful & finished to a very high standard with plenty of fluffy towels.
All in all we had a great time at the Grafton, if you are looking for something a bit special then this is the place, we could not fault this place in the slightest & definitely stay here again

 Guest Feedback

“The Glorious Grafton”

Me and my other half are still currently here in the Grafton (room 3) and we have loved every moment of staying here, and we are fairly difficult to excite (I know that is terrible, but true). Our bedroom is fantastic and extremely spacious- with a good en-suite. Great breakfast in the morning with a variety of breakfasts to enjoy, the continental and cooked meals are great. Like previous comments, the walk into town only takes around 6-7 minutes. If you would prefer to get a taxi, it only costs around £3.50-4. We visited a restaurant called Brios, which is one of the best Italians we have been to (with a range of celebrities visiting). The parking available outside is sorted by the hotel so you can just leave your car here and forget about it and then walk everywhere. The hotel has great facilities, with small essentials such as dressing gown and slippers, hair dryer, electric fan, a large TV and a heated towel warmer. The staff are friendly and have taken care of us well.

“Great Location, Clean, Good Size Rooms”

Booked the biggest room we could room and it had a sofa and all the other usual stuff you would expect. Great location about 8 minutes from town centre by foot. Taxi only needed after a drink, which are abundant and cheap. About £3.50 one way. Comfy beds, great decor and clean. Breakfast was spot on an good selection.
Would recommend especially for couples as nice area. Read our review of the new Brazilian restaurant called Bodega too.

“Lovely B&B”

We stayed for 3 nights, in a large superior room, It was all very good, the room and bathroom were clean and spacious. There was a good selection at breakfast and every thing was well cooked and presented. There was plenty of parking outside in the street and parking permits were provided when required. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. We had a lovely stay and looking forward to staying again.

“Lovely stylish boutique B&B with excellent breakfast”
Stayed one night mid April 2016 arranged via booking.com. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room (2) was very tastefully decorated and immaculately clean etc. Bed was fine slept like a log. The coffee in the room was of a high standard. Bathroom was modern and well designed with good fitments – shower worked perfectly. The room is at the back so it would have been quiet but in fact the road the Grafton is on is intrinsically quiet. The location is a short walk from town so the location is great. The breakfast was exceptionally good, better than many more expensive hotel. Frankly faultless and very good value.
“Spotless, convenient bed and breakfast”
My husband and I stayed at The Grafton for a short break in Harrogate. The Grafton is a pleasant ten-minute walk from the centre of Harrogate making it a convenient location for the conference centre, shops and restaurants and is situated on a quiet road. The room was spotless, recently refurbished with nice touches such as good quality biscuits on the tea tray and toiletries in the room. The breakfast was excellent, good quality bacon and sausages, nice porridge, fruit and homemade cake. There was a very comfortable sitting room with a good selection of magazines and a daily newspaper as well as a bar open in the evening. The owners were very helpful and the waitress at breakfast friendly but professional. If we return to Harrogate we will definitely stay here again.

Guest Feedback

“Quality B&B”

My husband and I stayed in room 10 for an Easter break. The whole building is decorated to a very high standard, very modern yet comfortable. Its the little touches that I loved, the slippers and gown, the Noir toiletries (wonderful!), the spring water bottles on the dresser. As well as these, the bed was huge and very comfortable, a huge television, plenty of storage with an ironing board and hair dryer supplied. The bathroom was stunning, hot water from the shower at the touch of a button. The breakfast was excellent, juices, water and ice cubes, yogurts, fresh fruit salad, croissants and cakes (walnut and date cake was lovely), scrumptious cooked breakfasts all served in a light, modern dining room-nothing was too much trouble. The owner will advise you where to visit and eat (he even borrowed us a brolly). All the areas are spotless and well cared for plus there’s a lovely lounge to relax in. All the staff we met were friendly and attentive, especially the young lady who served breakfast. Well worth a visit, thoroughly recommended, a lovely, peaceful hotel “Modern and Homely”

My partner and I enjoyed a very lovely 3 nights stay here. The staff were welcoming and did an excellent breakfast! The rooms are fairly small but exceptionally clean, well decorated and comfortable. I would recommend The Grafton for couples looking for a special occasion and for anyone wanting to stay in a nice quiet area yet just a ten minute walk to the town centre.

Guest Feedback

“Fantastically Modern 5* Hotel”

We booked at the Grafton via LateRooms.co.uk, and could not have been happier with the service. The rooms were incredible, there is clearly a lot of thought that had been put into the design and decor, with massive comfortable king sized beds, fast free wifi and luxuriously thick towelling and bedding.

The complimentary toiletries offered were from the White Company London, and we were plied with Harrogate Spring Water and Taylor’s of Harrogate Coffee – the local feel was strongly appreciated at mealtimes as well, including a wondrous breakfast comprising of local food from nearby farms.

Staff were enormously helpful, and the service was immaculate. Whilst the prices are slightly higher than other local hotels due to its 5* rating, the extra expense is more than worth it due to the quality and variety of free provision included with the room, such as breakfast and sundries.

The orange juice at breakfast was a particular highlight – it had clearly been hand pressed on site and tasted amazing!

“Wonderful!”

My daughter and I stayed at the Grafton on a mini break to Harrogate this half term.
The Grafton is located conveniently closely to the train station and only took us 10 minutes to walk there with our luggage.

On arrival we were greeted warmly and told our room was on the second floor. There was the offer of carrying our luggage for us but I declined as we didn’t have too much.

The room was a superior large double and it was spacious and light. The view from our windows was wonderful.

I really liked the decor too- I’m not keen on the chintzy look that a lot of B&B’s seem to go for. The Grafton is elegant and modern.

The en-suite was excellent. Spotlessly clean and containing a bath with a power shower and also a heated towel rail upon which were hung the thickest, fluffiest towels. We had an array of complimentary toiletries which I was impressed to discover were from The White Company.

On the dressing table we found Harrogate Spa spring water and plenty of choice of coffee, tea, fruit teas and hot chocolate. My daughter was excited to find biscuits and chocolates too!

We had a great nights sleep. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable and due to the location of The Grafton being down a side street away from the main roads there was no noise pollution either.

Breakfast was served from 8am to 9.30am and there was a huge selection to choose from. Croissants, pain au chocolat, fruit, porridge, full English breakfast, cereals.

We settled on a full English each. It arrived on our table piping hot and cooked to perfection. We had poached eggs, bacon, black pudding, sausage, beans and mushrooms and a tomato. All were quality ingredients and tasted delicious.

The staff at The Grafton are so friendly and helpful. Whatever we asked of them was no trouble and they made our stay extremely pleasant and welcoming. If we’re ever in Harrogate again we’ll stay at The Grafton!
